The North Suburban Water Works Association(NSWWA) develops and supports people, agencies, and organizations that plan, build, maintain, and improve our water systems. Working together, NSWWA and its membership contribute to a higher and sustainable quality of life.

Part of the Association’s mission is to help communities understand the critical role that waterworks operations plays in our lives. To fulfill this mission, the NSWWA has created a scholarship program awarded to selected members. The goal of the scholarship is to introduce educational opputunities to waterworks officials who, due to financial constraints, would not normally be able to attend the Illinois American Water Works Association annual educational convention in Springfield(WaterCon). Eligibility for this scholarship is only open to municipal employees and does not include contractors, engineers, sales representatives, etc.

Each scholarship winner will receive one(1) complimentary entrance to the conference for 3 days, and up to $500 reimbursement for meals and lodging. Reimbursement policy: Rooms are reserved for scholarship winners at the Crowne Plaza. Recipients will be responsible, initially, for making all arrangements and paying for all expenses(travel, lodging, meals).
